I can't believe I found this current season ASOS dress at Savers IN MY SIZE!!! I've been lusting after it since it came out but could never justify the $119 price tag so seeing it sitting there at Brunswick Savers for $25 was like all my Christmas's had come at once. I guess the previous owner wasn't aware of ASOS's easy returns within Australia so their loss is my gain. I love the fabulously retro kitsch embroidery print and I love it even more when it tricks people into thinking it is real embroidery.

Montsalvat

I'd never been to Montsalvat before, which to my mother was crazy as its one of her most favourite places. Montsalvat is Australia's oldest artist's colony built in 1935 by Justus Jörgensen and it really is a stunningly beautiful place. My mum is an artist, painting mostly landscapes, so she comes to Montsalvat often for inspiration and I can see why. It sure made a great background for these outfit photos, which were all taken by my artistic mother, you can see she has an eye just by the framing of these photos.

The other day I tweeted that I was planning a bit of an epic blog photo shoot and that hopefully I don't break my leg/neck/back during the shoot. Well these photos are the results of that shoot and the vintage roller skates were the epic and scary part! Guess what? I didn't break or dislocate anything, which if you knew me would shock you as I'm the girl who dislocates her knee getting dressed in the morning.
