Pink Pom Pom & WIN: Lime Crime Pink Velvet thanks to Makeupnet

I wore this outfit to VAMFF's Graduate Showcase - photos of which will finally be up on the blog this week. For now I wanted to share with you my super kawaii all pink outfit. So much for being over pink - I don't think that will ever actually happen to be honest, I mean how could it? I bought the Romance Was Born t-shirt earlier this year at the Boxing Day sales at David Jones (FYI it's still on sale). I loved their collaboration with Australian artists Pip & Pop who created the amazing set for their MBFWA runway show last year so owning a piece of that magic collection is a dream come true. The over the top pom pom cardigan was a Tokyo purchase from my last visit back. I got it at 'it' shop Bubbles in Harajuku but sadly the pom poms all started to fall off on my first wear - luckily this happened in very friendly Tokyo where I had people running after me pom pom in hand after seeing it fall off - this happened at the train station, at a cafe and on the street. Anyway Henry offered to sew them on more securely for me and now they should last, just not sure how to wash it?

So many pom poms! Gotta love it.

I bought these Karen Walker Helter Skelter sunglasses on a buy and sell facebook page but am a little unsure if they suit me. It's kinda too late to on sell them though as I already had my prescription put in, although I did keep the original lenses. My favourite Karen Walker Orbit's have proved to be impossible to get my prescription lenses in because of the unusual metal pieces around frame. Not sure what to do, let me know what you think in the comments.

I'm so happy I splurged whilst in Tokyo on this great unicorn necklace by my friend Mademoiselle Yulia's label Giza.

This bag is another Boxing Day sale buy from earlier this year. No idea why it's taken me so long to blog it as I wear it so often.

  1. Hayley you are so flippin' adorable!! I would LOVE to win that Lime Crime because my obsession with LC has only just begun - in fact, I never used to wear lipstick at all. Some of my friends advised if I was going to start, I should test the waters with a nice, subtle gloss or something. HA! I went straight to Lady Petrova and bought No She Didn't, followed shortly after by Poisonberry. Next up... Pink Velvet?? :D

  2. I have three Lime Crime lippies and I'd love to add to my collection. They are so unique! I'd wear Pink Velvet with black pants and a white flowy top, so the color pops! I might smudge some blue eyeliner around my eyes, too, just for fun!

  5. Hayley, I'm afraid you might just have to cold handwash that sucker for maximum pompom cuteness.
Meanwhile, for me pink velvet lips should be worn with a fluffy paste cropped jumper and pink highwaist middi skirt.

  6. Love this outfit from head to toe! Of course the Romance was Born top, the pompoms, melons and unicorns are just perfect! I think the glasses are cute, although I prefer your other Karen Walker sunnies. I would wear Pink Velvet with nearly everything from my pink world. Probably first for a easter outfit with a pink bunny in my hair and a purple and pink flower dress, jelly shoes and cute socks. I could still drown in pink and I think I'll never get over it. Lots of love, xxx

  22. First of all, I love your blog! I've been in love with it ever since I saw your photo in Fashion Dacci!

I love quirky fashion, so I'd pair the Velvetine with my hot pink PVC skater skirt, my vintage black halter top along with my UNIF Salems with hot pink shoelaces! I'd also rock this look with a classic winged-liner in order to make my makeup pop!

Currently I'm working on collecting the Lime Crime Velvetines. After splurging all my money on the Clueless Witch Collection, this would be a Lime Crime fan's dream come true!

Keep up the awesome work, and good luck everyone!

  23. Hi Hayley, I love your blog! I fell in love with it as soon as I discovered it from the amazing staff at Fashion Dacci!

First of all, I would rock the Pink Velvetine with my hot pink PVC skater skirt, and my vintage black 90's halter top, along with my UNIF Salems with their hot pink shoelaces (dyed by myself!). I would also wear this look with classic pin-up-style winged eyeliner so that my makeup pops!

I'm currently in the process of collecting all of the Lime Crime Velvetines, so after splurging all of my money on the Clueless Witch Collection, this would be a real big help!

Keep up the great work with your blog! And good luck everyone - your styling ideas all sound amazing!

  40. You look absolutely hideous! The sunglasses DO NOT suit you whatsoever! Why don't you just grow up and wear clothes your own age, not some 5 year old!! The socks with sandels are a terrible idea and those pom poms look like they are Christmas decorations. You have terrible taste in clothes. Why on earth you think you look cute is beyond me.....beyond saneness.
