Get ready with me + win up to $2000 thanks to AGL

Sponsored post
AGL is celebrating energy in our everyday lives and have asked me to share with you how I use energy in my morning routine. My bedroom is usually pretty dark when I wake up in the mornings so the very first thing I do is turn on my super cute pineapple lamp and then check my phone which has been charging over night on my bedside table. I actually love this little corner of my bedroom so much with all my matching white, red and yellow pieces, it's so happy and bright. One of the best things in the world is morning cuddles with Hachiko, especially a freshly groomed Hachi at that! Hachiko had his spring haircut this week and is just the cutest thing ever right now and I just can't get enough.

Oh Hachi you are the cutest!

My house is full of tiles so to keep my feet warm I always wear slippers around the house. These hot pink Ugg Australia boots are actually all kinds of amazing. My first 'real' pair of Ugg boots and I'm in love not only with just how soft and warm they are but also the amazing hot pink colour.

After showering it's makeup time. My light up mirror makes putting on my makeup of a morning a breeze. My bedroom is usually really dark as we like to keep the blinds closed for privacy as our window is right on the street so this mirror is a must have item for me - otherwise I could end up with way too much blush or uneven foundation. A total lifesaver!

Limecrime pink velvet forever!

I swear by my clothes steamer. I can't imagine going back to a life without it. So much safer for your clothes than a regular iron and without all of the hassle too - no annoying ironing boards or the need for a protective sheet on sensitive fabrics. The best bit it was only $49 from Kmart!

My GHD Air salon professional hair dryer makes such a difference in the morning. It's two times faster than most consumer hair dryers and since using it I really have noticed the difference. One of the biggest selling points for me was it's advanced ionic technology that is meant to reduce frizz and flyaways - which have always been the bane of my existence thanks to my super fine hair. Well I swear this has worked wonders on those.

Once dressed a spritz of perfume and I'm ready to walk out the door.

I'm in love with this new fragrance I was sent from Melbourne's Comme des Garçons Pocket store, Girl by Comme des Garçons and Pharrell Williams with bottle art by Kaws. It's the perfect woody scent and I just love the bottle design.

The final outfit. I actually wore this Tsumori Chisato Cat's paw print dress the other day to a cat themed art exhibition opening at Off The Kerb Gallery so we thought it was fitting to take the photo in front of the giant cat street art just around the corner from my house. Thank you Fitzroy for always providing me with new and interesting outfit photography backdrops! Talking about Fitzroy - a photo of me posing in front of another amazing local street art piece was used in a Vogue USA article on Global Street Style Report: Mapping Out the 15 Coolest Neighborhoods in the World. Me representing Fitzroy, my local hood! Such an amazing surprise!

I'm wearing a lot of Japanese labels in this outfit which makes me so happy as it makes me feel closer to the place that I love so much - if that makes sense at all? Japan will always have a place in my heart (。♥‿♥。)
