Queensland Flood Relief Charity Auction

Photobucket
By now everyone knows about the terrible floods that affected Queensland and its capital Brisbane last week. The fact that so many people lost their lives and others their livelihoods is hard to come to terms with. Its a terrible tragedy and like most people I wanted to do everything I could to help. From retweeting important information to donating money and now taking part in Nuffnang's charity auction I'm trying to do as much as I can, like I'm sure everyone is. I love Queensland, and actually was planning on visiting Brisbane on the weekend the floods happened to see an eagerly awaited exhibition at the GOMA focusing on art in the 21st century with some of my all time favourite artists like Yayoi Kusama and even past tutors from my time at art school. The gallery is closed until further notice due to flood damage (no art was damaged) but as soon as it opens I hope to make that trip up, because it is important that tourism continues to help their economy recover. Back to the point of this post, the Nuffnang Charity Auction which is raising funds for the Queensland Premier's Relief Appeal, with all money raised going directly to the fund. 30 bloggers, including me, have all donated goods or services to the official ebay auction.

After much thought over what to donate in order to get the highest possible bid I have donated a one on one Personal Styling Session. When I've given a styling session in the past its always turned into a fun afternoon that you never want to end, so I'm positive this will be a fun experience for the winning bidder. To bid just head over to the ebay auction. I want to make as much money as possible for Queensland, and please no fake bids. Happy bidding xoxo
