I went to a party where Lady Gaga performed!

I was invited to the Mac Viva Glam Lady Gaga and Terrence Koh HIV charity event in Tokyo. The venue was in the Tokyo bay area, had to catch the driver less monorail to get there which was fun in itself.

Here you can see the red carpet section, we were all hoping to catch a glimpse of Gaga but apparently she was already inside and sleeping???

I got interviewed for NHK (Japanese TV channel) about my cute fashion. I name dropped Make Believe and Romance Was Born. I wanted them to take a photo of me getting filmed but they didn't quite understand me hence this odd photo. I missed my appearance on the show as it was at 8:00am today. Hopefully it goes online.

I finally got to meet Deanne from Tokyo Made, who you may remember did a competition with me a few years ago. So good to meet her in person!

The photographers pit was crowded.

I was right above Lady Gaga! I was overwhelmed with emotion and in tears at this stage as if you follow my twitter you would know I had tickets for her Australian tour but ended up sick on the night and had to sell my ticket (not for profit btw, the price I bought it for). My ticket was rather crappy upper level seat so this made up for missing that times a million!

I swear she looked right into my eyes!

Here is my video of part of the performance.

Soap bubbles fell from the roof.

Then paper petals.

Of course I was standing right next to a sumo wrestler. Only in Japan!

Hachi and Yana were there. So good to catch up with Hachi (he made those glasses Lady Gaga wore in my last post, his label is Balmung). I didn't take many party photos as I had to leave right after the performance in order to make the last train home, but people were dressed amazingly of course. Oh and we all got gift bags full of Mac cosmetics and a Lady Gaga remix cd. One of the best nights of my life, thank you Tokyo for being amazing like always!

  4. I guess I never made the connection that you actually KNOW Hachi-san? Does he speak English? I have admired his personal style for a long time. Actually, this last trip to Tokyo, my friend from RIDSNAP introduced me to some people who knew Hachi, and apparently, Hachi had seen the illustration I did of him. I WAS SHOCKED! Do you know any way I could meet him or see his designs casually in a non-creepy/fan way? haha. Email me or twitter me and let me know Hayley!
