302 posts into this thing

Woah I just noticed that this will be my 302nd post on this blog, and maybe it is the most exciting post that I have made to date.

Remember a while ago I said there were some exciting projects coming up. Well some of them fell through but a major one has finally come into fruition. Basically I have had a promotion at Melbourne Street Fashion.com and I am now the Creative Director, which means I am responsible for all creative content (photos, styling, exhibitions etc). It also means more exciting things will be happening at the site in the coming months which I will let you know about as the time comes.

Another exciting development is the lovely Kat George has come on board as our editor (at my request, her resume is so impressive I didn't think she would agree, but she did because she can see the potential which is so exciting), so all the written content is generated or passes through her to approve. It means that we are finally a team, with regular contributors working for us, instead of the 1 woman show (me) it has been for so long. It really was lucky that we timed this accidentally to coincide with Fashion Week. It means that we are really going to be on top of it, reporting daily and giving you the best coverage possible, starting with a review of last Fridays Penthouse Mouse Runway show.

The most important outcome of all this is that from now on Melbourne Street Fashion.com is going to be updated DAILY with street photos and other content. I feel so lucky to be involved with such a great team to really make this happen.

Team Melbourne Street Fashion. Love my "shit we don't have a photo together" bad photoshop montage? Yay!
